He graduated from Havre High School, Havre, Montana, in 1954, and went onto graduate from the University of Great Falls in 1958. In his fifty plus years of being actively involved in Republican Politics, Roe has advised many candidates for political office and held numerous board appointments at the gubernatorial and local level, most notability his work with the Michigan History Commission.
