It was founded in 1999 by Michael Watson of Meijigakuin University in Yokohama, Japan and is currently edited by Matthew Stavros of the University of Sydney. PMJS’s main function is to facilitate serious academic discussion on topics related to premodern Japan. It also serves to disseminate information on field-related publications, conferences, workshops, and jobs. |
